This game gets my brain kick-started every morning. I like to compare how I do before coffee and after. I love playing the two player feature with my daughter.

There are imitations that are cheaper, but dont have the features this does. The tutorial and the ability to select your level set this apart from the knock-offs.

First, for people who are familiar with the physical version: this is very close. I enjoy being able to play a quick solo game of SET whenever I want to. If you like the physical game, get this. But there is one really, really annoying misfeature in the game: apparently in an attempt to get you to play more, the game basically insults you at the end of every game. I just finished what I thought was quite a good game, and it said "Dont be discouraged, keep trying." In other words, what I thought was pretty good actually sucked, and I should feel bad. I really just want to enjoy the game without it telling me after every single game that Im not good enough to meet whatever standard it has. If I could just shut that freaking insult thing up, Id have given it five stars. Also, the "statistics" report has only your average time per move, not even things as basic as the number of games played. If Id gotten it for (or even caring about) the statistics, Id be very disappointed. But I didnt; I got it to play SET, and it does that very well. (except for the "you didnt do well enough" insult every game)

Was so excited to know that there was going to be a Set game released for iPhone (and not the knockoff versions that are in the App Store now)! I have played through each of the 3 game types and can finally be happy that I can play my old childhood game. So far I dont have any complaints, since everything is running like it should. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS GAME!!!

great to have a version true to the card version that I can play while commuting by train. Found card version in the 90s. This is a wonderful app of the game

We often play this game with friends as a card game and really like it. We were excited to hear that the same company (SET Enterprises) had recently released the game as an app for the iPhone. What a treat! Now we can play it more often, and as such this has now become our favorite game app. The app is very well designed and makes it easy to focus on the challenge of the game. It is stimulating and fun, and I have become quite hooked. I am glad I am now able to have the game with me on my iPhone, so I can enjoy it more often.

I really wanted to like this app and have some fun matching cards, but I just couldnt. This is a very basic app, has bland and somewhat confusing user interface, and boring game modes. To think this game came from the official company that made the SET cards, they need to hire better designers and programmers to do this, very disappointed. Wheres the classic mode to add more cards? or play with a friend or two?

I played SET in math class growing up and am so happy that I can play it on my phone now, its great for taking a break and de-cluttering my mind in between projects. I like to play the basic deck so the rotating basic deck feature gives it just enough twist that it always seems challenging. This app takes a great card game and adds a couple of new ways to play, Im digging it!

I love SET, and this app brings the game to my phone in a simple and fun way. The responsive of the game is good and allows you to get sets as fast as you can.

For those who are unfamiliar with the game, or for anyone who may have “forgotten” how to play, this app is especially helpful in visually (re)explaining the rules. After familiarizing yourself with game-play; on-screen controls are responsive and bring a new challenge to both visual-perception and finger-dexterity/motor-skills in the timed-version of the game.

I love this game and play the daily game online, but couldnt wait to get it on my phone to play whenever I want. The graphics are great, and the app is fast so I cant blame the game when it gets tough! I like the setting choices that allow me to show people how it works, and it is a great way to start my day and get my mind in gear for the challenges to come. Thanks SET folks for doing a great job on the app and not cutting corners!

Ive played the card game for years and love it but no one likes to play with me anymore because I have become too fast. The app is a perfect solution allowing me to get my fix and find the sets as fast as I can. Good solid app.

Ive been playing the online puzzle on the set game website, was very excited to find out they now have an app! Great game, always different and doesnt get boring has a basic and advanced version in this app as well.

I have enjoyed the card game for years and really like this app for on the go solo play. I also like the additional options not possible with the traditional cards like Guaranteed SET which lets me keep searching with confidence for that sometimes elusive SET. Great app!

I must have missed something here, because this is, in my opinion, the worst app Ive ever paid for. I LOVE Set and was excited to see this app, but it is so disappointing. Once you start a game and need to leave because you have a life, its a crap shoot on how many times you have to touch the pause button before it finally reacts. Then, even after pausing, theres only a 50/50 chance that when you go back in it will be saved. The scoring at the end doesnt make sense- sometimes itll tell me great job, other times itll tell me that I can do better- on identical scores. There are no options at all other than basic or advanced deck. No sound effects or anything to make it more interesting. There should be a shuffle option too. But even beyond those options, what is there is just weak. Theres also no multi-player option like the real-life game. Overall, other than the fact that its Set and I love Set, Im not impressed at all.

I love this game and have waited forever to see it in app form. While the essential game play is functional, the experience of this app is seriously lacking. Its yearning for a gorgeous minimal design in the spirit of the iOS or the Lumosity games, but instead there are colored photographic backgrounds, cartoon characters, drop shadows, and distracting boxes everywhere. It has such potential for thoughtful gestures, beautiful movements, and a clean impactful interface. Please please cut the unnecessary clutter and concentrate on better game play and presentation!

Nice game but terribly cluttered interface. Minus one star for "your close keep trying." - should be "youre".

I was VERY excited to see this game on the AppStore, but I was a little disappointed to see so few features for $1.99. I would very, very much like to see an endless mode. 07/22/14 Yay for endless modes!! The new additions are fantastic!! But a dollar each for the two upgrades? Thats $3.99 for a complete game for SET fans! On the plus side, this game is totally NOT a battery hog. Ive been playing for over an hour and my battery has only moved by one percentage point -- most other games would have cost me at least 10% of my battery (sometimes more!). 07/31/14 I use this app as a workout for my brain -- all day. I play a few rounds before my alarm clock goes off. I play periodically throughout the day. I feel like it keeps me sharp. Feature suggestions: 1) a "daily high score" which resets each day. I think itd be fun/useful to be able to see how my score changes throughout the day. 2) access to more stats all around. I LIKE seeing my total sets. But Id like to have the option to see more info: avg set time, incorrect "no set" counters, avg level time, slowest set time, fastest set time -- stuff like that. :)
